Professor Griggs teaches the sons of the rich and affluent, yet he barely makes enough to take care of his family. Meanwhile Phil West, a wealthy student, is attracted to Professor Grigg's pretty daughter Amelia, and after he befriends her he begins to see how the less fortunate struggle.
