Dan 'Black' Pawl is a the tough captain of the South Seas trading schooner Deborah. A fierce rival has built between Cpt Black Pawl and his son 'Red' Pawl, leaving the hard working crew and the second Dan Darrin in the middle. Tensions raise though when the schooner picks up two passengers from a remote island, Reverend Samuel Poor and his orphaned ward the lovely Ruth Lytton and Black Pawl, his son Red and Darrin all become interested in Ruth. Who can young Ruth trust surrounded by these godless men of the South Seas?
